Cumberland Valley Electric is proposing a rate increase that could impact many of us starting as early as April 23, 2025. Residential customers could see an average 4.3% increase, with some rate classes (like tiered users) facing over 17% increases. For many in our rural communities, this is just too much.

Even worse? The monthly base fee for residential users would jump from $17.62 to $25—a change that hits low-income and energy-conscious households the hardest.

We have a small window to speak up before the Kentucky Public Service Commission makes a decision.
